How Billing Works
Vaaad uses a prepaid wallet model. There are no surprise charges, no per-call minimums, and no contracts:
- Top up your wallet (minimum ₹500 per recharge, maximum ₹1,00,000)
- Each minute of connected call time deducts ₹5 from your wallet
- Unanswered or unconnected calls cost nothing
- Recharge anytime. No auto-deduction, no subscriptions unless you pick a Pro plan.

The Free plan is fully featured: webhooks, CRM webhook integrations, all 24 languages, full call analysis, Knowledge Base, booking, and everything else. The only difference is the resource cap (1 agent, 1 KB doc, 1 campaign, 200 contacts). Upgrade to Pro when you outgrow those limits.
What a Real Bill Looks Like
Let's say you're a clinic running appointment reminders. In a month:
- 500 contacts called, 200 picked up
- Average 1.5 minutes per connected call
- Recording enabled for QA
That works out to:
- 200 × 1.5 min × ₹5 = ₹1,500 in call charges
- 200 × 1.5 min × ₹0.20 = ₹60 in recording charges
- + ₹2,499 Pro plan (if you're on Pro)
Total: ₹1,560 if Free plan or ₹4,059 if Pro. You see the call count, total connected minutes, and current wallet balance live on your Dashboard.
Managing Your Wallet
In Settings, Payments you'll see your current wallet balance, the last 30 days of transactions, and the recharge button. Recharge via Razorpay using:
- UPI (GPay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM)
- Credit and debit cards (Indian and international)
- Net banking
- Wallets (Paytm, Mobikwik, etc.)
Funds clear instantly in most cases. For net banking, allow up to 30 minutes.
Invoices & GST
All payments generate GST-compliant invoices automatically:
- Pro plan payments get full GST invoices with your GSTIN, business name, and address (if provided in Settings)
- Wallet recharges are issued as separate payment receipts
Download both from the Invoices tab in Settings. To claim input tax credit, add your GSTIN and billing address in Settings before paying.
Refunds
Unused wallet balance is refundable for 30 days from the top-up date. Email support@vaaadai.com with your account email and we'll process it within 5 to 7 business days back to the original payment method.
Pro plan payments are non-refundable mid-cycle. You can cancel anytime to prevent the next month's charge.
What Happens When Pro Expires?
If your Pro subscription renewal fails (card declined, insufficient funds, etc.), you enter a 3-day grace period with full Pro access. We email you daily during grace.
After the grace period:
- You auto-downgrade to Free plan limits (1 agent, 1 KB doc, 1 campaign, 200 contacts)
- Extra agents, KB docs, and campaigns are locked, not deleted
- Your wallet balance and contact data are untouched
- Reactivate Pro anytime to immediately restore full access to everything
Phone Number Costs (Separate from Calls)
Phone numbers have their own monthly rental, billed separately from call usage:
- Indian numbers: ₹200 to ₹500 per month for mobile numbers, higher for toll-free
- International numbers: $1.15 to $3 per month in USD, auto-converted to INR at Razorpay checkout
These are charged directly via Razorpay at purchase and renewal, not from your wallet. See Phone Numbers.
Enterprise & Custom Plans
For volume above 10,000 minutes per month, custom SLAs, on-premise deployment, white-label, or dedicated phone-number pools, contact sales. Enterprise plans include negotiated per-minute rates, BYOC support, and a dedicated success manager.
